krmoore@msu.edu | 517-353-3922 Kristine Moore joined the I3 staff in January 2007. As Assistant Director for Institutional Equity, Ms. Moore has a number of responsibilities. She ensures University compliance with federal and state civil rights laws and regulations, in addition to the University’s Anti-Discrimination Policy and procedures. Ms. Moore also investigates, and provides effective resolution of, formal and informal discrimination or harassment complaints. She coordinates the activities of the MSU Anti-Discrimination Judicial Board (ADJB) and administers the University’s bias incident reporting system. Additionally, Ms. Moore supports the development and implementation of training programs which enhance equitable treatment and strengthen a supportive University environment. Ms. Moore also assists in coordinating the ongoing development and implementation of University-wide employment affirmative action efforts and supports broader campus diversity and inclusion initiatives and programs. Before joining the I3 team, Ms. Moore was a partner with the Dickinson Wright law firm, where she specialized in labor and employment law. She provided representation and counseling to clients on all facets of labor and employment law issues, including: wage and hour, disability, discrimination, harassment, attendance, employment contracts, severance agreements, hiring, discipline, termination and layoff. Ms. Moore earned a Juris Doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law at Illinois Institute of Technology, graduating cum laude. She is licensed as an attorney by the state of Michigan. Ms. Moore has numerous publications and is a sought after presenter on employment law related matters, including advanced workplace investigations, record-keeping, managing leaves of absences, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. | |
