Welcome to the Accessible Learning Institute Web site at Michigan State University. As a national leader in supporting students with disabilities, Michigan State University is proud to extend this opportunity to faculty, administrators and students to join us at our inaugural Accessible Learning Institute taking place on Friday, November 20, 2009 from 8:00a to 1:30p in the MSU Union parlors A, B, and C.

This Institute is free and includes:

  • Maintaining Academic Integrity While Accommodating Students with Disabilities
  • Faculty and Students with Learning Disabilities: Working Together to Achieve Academic Excellence
  • “What Faculty and Academic Administrators Need to Know While Working with Students with Disabilities”

Registration:

To register for the Accessible Learning Institute, visit fod.msu.edu/AccessibleLearning, or contact Kristine Moore in the Office of Inclusion at or (517) 353-3922. The Institute is free to MSU members and there is a $50 charge for non-MSU affiliates ($15 for non-MSU students).

Program Location:

The Accessible Learning Institute will take place on the 2nd floor of the MSU Union.

Accessible Entrance:

The accessible entrance to the MSU union is located on the Abbott Road (west) side of the building. There is a ramp located to the right of the main doors and an elevator directly to the left once inside the building. There is a circular driveway drop off area on Abbott Road close to the ramp.

Arrival Time:

Check-in for the morning session begins at 8:00 a.m. Check-in for the afternoon LEAD session begins at 1:45 p.m.

For off-campus guests, parking is available in a City of East Lansing ramp, located at 121 Charles Street (north of Grand River, between Grand River and Albert). Parking is $1.10 per hour ($10 daily maximum).

The Institute is FREE to all MSU affiliates. The cost for non-MSU affiliates is $50. The cost for non-MSU students with a current college/university ID is $15. Please submit a check payable to Michigan State University and mail to the following address:
